Parent input is needed as we plan for Black History Month. On Jan. 4, the meeting will be held in the Media Center. On Jan. 18, parents can come in person or online using the PTO meeting link. Activities will be available for kids at both meetings.
Curriculum, such as books for guided reading groups, have been intentionally selected to represent students with diverse backgrounds. Our goal is to have students of all races see themselves in the curriculum at Park Brook throughout the entire year. At the same time, we want to highlight the accomplishments of Black individuals during Black History Month, as we acknowledge racism is unfortunately a part of our history as a country and continues to be evident today.
COVID safety protocols will be followed for all activities.
