Prince of Peace Lutheran Church
Prince of Peace has had a relationship with Park Brook Elementary for years. The church first met in the Park Brook gymnasium before their church was built.
Every week, members of the congregation come to read with 3rd grade students and then enjoy lunch together. This mentorship program increases reading skills and provides an adult for the students to visit with each week.
The District 279 Foundation has financially supported a Kindness Retreat for 4th grade students, which is run by Youth Frontiers. Prince of Peace kindly opens their doors to allow the Kindness Retreat to be held in their gathering space.
In addition, Prince of Peace congregation members assist with dinners at Park Brook before music programs, serve at the Fifth Grade Formal Breakfast and volunteers at the Fifth Grade Commemoration each year.
Redeemer Covenant Church
Redeemer Covenant Church has supported Park Brook students in a multitude of ways throughout the years.
For a number of years, Redeemer Covenant Church ran the Park Buddies Program at Park Haven which was an after school tutoring program that included time for students to read and engage in other activities.
Redeemer Covenant has provided school supplies, winter wear, and provided for other needs of students.
Many weeks throughout the year one will find volunteers from Redeemer Covenant assisting in the cafeteria.
